Brief background: Yuzuki is a custom-built persocom made by Minoru to look like his older sister Kaede, in an attempt to fill the loneliness he felt when Kaede passed away. She is essentially everything that Minoru could recall of his sister--to the point to where she's constantly upgraded in her programming with data of Kaede's mannerisms/personality, etc. Among all of the persocoms that 'boy-genius' Minoru owns, Yuzuki is clearly special. ~~For one, she's the only one that we ever actually see fully dressed.~~ She spends time with him and takes care of him according to her programming, attempting to be as much as Kaede as possible--they seem to almost always be together. And throughout the series, as Minoru tries to help Hideki unfold the mysteries of Chii's background, Yuzuki is there to lend her own hand in helping. She goes as far as attempting to hack into Zima, the national data bank, because she believe it will help Minoru and is heavily damaged when Dita chases her out. Minoru finds her and gets her running again--but most of her data is lost in the process. And when Minoru tells her that he wont be re-inputting the data into Yuzuki, she is afraid it won't be okay to stay with him anymore and apologizes for being a failure. Minoru assures her that it isn't her fault--because she isn't Kaede, she's Yuzuki. And it's the reassurrance that it's 'Yuzuki' whom he wants near him that brings the two closer together, and streghtens Yuzuki's desire to always stay by his side.

Personality: Calm, helpful and gentle, Yuzuki is often smiling pleasantly and has programming which makes her intuitive to problems--if she doesn't have a solution to a situation, she works to provide one. Pretty much she's always keeping her cool, save for the few times when Minoru manages to suprise/confuse her. However, Yuzuki also has heavy insecurities for a persocom--she tries to help Minoru as much as she can because she worries that she can't ever fully be like Kaede for him. She knows, and admits to Chii, that no one can ever be exactly like anyone else. But inspite of it all, the desire to make Minoru smile like Kaede could drives her to keep trying.. even though it's painful for her sometimes to think about it.
